They are afraid of Obama...

It goes on and on.  As soon as the media finally quit playing up the Clinton/Obama rift, they started talking about the set at the stadium.  And they talk about Obama as "all talk" despite that the convention has been full of policy statements and contrasts with the lack of change that McCain offers in 2008.  Today on Rush Limbaugh, things went one step further, and it was actually reassuring.

On the radio today, Limbaugh told his listeners to put a sign on the TV that says "I have no experience and nothing to offer" up so that they'll remember the "truth" while listening to Obama.  Of course, this reveals the truth - even Limbaugh is afraid that his ditto-heads will be swayed by the power of Obama's presence and policies.

And so Limbaugh like so many of the talking heads on TV have framed tonight with a pre-emptive Ad Hominem attack.  He has primed the pump of dismissiveness, encouraging his listeners to not really listen to Obama.  And why?  Because he, and those like him on TV, is afraid.

Take heart Democrats, when even those thick-headed as Limbaugh are afraid, something good is happening.  We're winning, and we will win.

Yes we can!

Duh. Rush knows his audience. You think "dittoheads" is an affectionate term? He called them empty-headed morons and they keep on listening.

I forgot to add my point, that Rush knows that Obama has the ability to beat the GOP at their own game. They keep making fun of his oratory skills, but they rely on that advantage, the PR advantage. Without it, they are completely and totally screwed.

Yep.  He just added, "Don't watch the speech, I'll watch it and tell you what you need to know."  Classic.  On top of this, today we read that a GOP leader called the conservative war room the "Ministry of Truth" a la George Orwell.

John McCain isn't evil. He's just wrong about a lot of things. Vote Obama!

It is not a coincidence that the GOP stage appears to be organized, military style seating facing a stage with a podium and a gigantic screen. 1984, anyone?

Well, as Obama would probably say, they are actually afriad of all of us.

If the vast majority will wake up, and see where this country is headed without real change, then Cheney and his ilk are over.
